We are very happy to announce that our documentary film RABBIT A LA BERLIN by Bartek Konopka und Piotr Rosolowski has been nominated for the 47. Grimme Award. The award ceremony will take place on April 1st, 2011.

MY JOY wins two awards in Kiev

Sergei Loznitsa’s MY JOY collected the Grand Prix of the 40th Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival (Oct. 23-31, 2010) and the FIPRESCI Jury Prize. The closing ceremony was held on sunday evening.

Congratulations! CLOSE TO HEAVEN by Titus Faschina got chosen by the commission of DOK Leipzig, the International Festival for Documentary and Animation, to be shown in the International Competition.
The appointed time for the screening is:
Tuesday, 19th october at 8 p.m. and
Thursday, 21th october at 11 a.m.
The award ceremony takes place on Saturday, 23th october.

MY JOY shortlisted for the European Film Awards 2010

We are happy to announce that MY JOY by Sergei Losnitza got shortlisted for the European Film Awards 2010. The final nominations of the individual categories are going to be released on november the 6th in Sevilla, the prize-giving will take place on december, the 4th in Tallinn.

MY JOY tells the story of truck driver Georgi which seems to be a never-ending nightmare, a spiral of violence and abuses of power. A man goes to work and on his way he is sucked into the everday madness of his country, losing his health and memory in the process and ends up as a murderer. A impressive parable about the situation in Russia today.
MY JOY is the feature film debut of the well known award-winning Ukrainian documentary filmmaker Sergei Loznitsa, who lives in Germany.

The premiere of Altiplano by Peter Brosens and Jessica Woodworth takes place in Dresden on the 24th of June, 8 pm at the Dresdner Rundkino and on the 25. June, 8 pm in Berlin, Cinema Hackesche Höfe.
