CLOSE TO HEAVEN wins prize in Trento

We are very happy about the “BRUNO CAGOL” PRESS AWARD of the Trento Film Festival 2011 for Titus Faschina’s documentary CLOSE TO HEAVEN:

In CLOSE TO HEAVEN we follow Dumitru Stanciu, one of the last mountain shepherds of Europe. As his forefathers did for thousands of years, in summer as in winter he and his herd of sheep roam the far reaches of the Transylvanian Carpathian Mountains, close to the edge of heaven.

EHRE (HONOUR) celebrates its premiere at the Filmfest München

We are very happy that the film EHRE (HONOUR) of Aysun Bademsoy was selected for the 29th Filmfest München. Between the 24th of June and the 2nd of July 2011 EHRE (HONOUR) will celebrate its premiere in the category “Deutsche Fernsehfilme”.

In her film Aysun Bademsoy tries to approach the term “honour” by searching for distinctions and similarities of the term in different sociocultural contexts.

EHRE (HONOUR) is the latest film of the documentary filmmaker Aysun Bademsoy.

CLOSE TO HEAVEN wins WWF Award in Thessaloniki

Titus Faschina’s documentary CLOSE TO HEAVEN won the WWF Award of the 13th Thessaloniki Doc Fest 2011. Additionally the film received a Special Mention from the ERT3 Broadcasting Award Jury. Congratulations!

Sergei Loznitsa’s MY JOY collected the Grand Prix of the 40th Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival (Oct. 23-31, 2010) and the FIPRESCI Jury Prize. The closing ceremony was held on sunday evening.
