The number “28” tram line cuts right through St. Petersburg, travelling from west to East. In his film Dmitri Popov accompanies the tram driver, Aljoscha Dostoevsky, a great, great grandchild of Dostoevsky, on his daily journey through the metropolis. Meetings with passengers and places, with history and stories paint a multi-dimensional portrait of an unusual city.
